CONSTANTINOPLE – Τhe Ecumenical Patriarchate in the ongoing fight against humanity’s deadly virus, offered monetary contributions to the Turkish Government in the amount of three hundred thousand Turkish lira ($50,000) thousand dollars and to the Greek Government of 50,000 euros, mainly for the needs of the homeless, as the Ecumenical Patriarchate specifically stated in its communique.
It was also written that “this gesture of the Mother Church is accompanied by her warm prayers to the Physician of our souls and bodies, to overcome” this great trial for mankind.
