CONSTANTINOPLE – The Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in its recent meeting elected three auxiliary Bishops for the Archdiocese of Canada.
In the official announcement was stated: “The Holy and Sacred Synod presided by His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch convened for its regular session Thursday, February 13th, 2020, to examine and discuss items on its agenda.

During this meeting, at the request of His-All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the members of the Holy and Sacred Synod duly casted their votes in the Sacred Patriarchal Church, electing unanimously three Auxiliary Bishops to serve as auxiliary Bishops to His Eminence Archbishop Sotirios of Canada. The elected Bishops are: V. Rev. Archimandrite Nektarios Mostratos, with the title Bishop of Keramon, the V. Rev. Archimandrite Alexandros Salmas, with the title Bishop of Patara, and the V. Rev. Archimandrite Demetrios Antonopoulos with the title Bishop of Zenoupolis.”
